Despite strict operator attention to maintaining a Langelier Saturation Index (LSI) within accepted ranges, many pools experience staining of the pool surfaces and higher maintenance cost resulting from corrosion of mechanical equipment. While LSI is an indicator of the solubility of calcium carbonate in water, it does not provide a means of determining the corrosiveness of water. The Ryznar Index not only indicates the scaling tendencies of the water, but also indicates the corrosive tendencies. Any no- flow alarm condition signals the controller to shut off all chemical feed circuits immediately. We use a paddle- wheel style flow switch with a see- through cover and an "ON STREAM" indicator light. pH AND HRR SENSORS Both pH and HRR sensors contain a proprietary inorganic gel. Each sensor contains a high volume of this gel which guarantees an extremely long life. Our HRR (redox) sensor is specifically designed to complement our patented Strantrol HRR technology. It utilizes 99.999% pure platinum. Its unique liquid junction incorporates porous Teflon ®, to minimize clogging and prolong sensor life. FLOWCELL A properly designed flowcell ensures the perfect sensor- water contact. Without it, the sensor is effectively blind. Our flowcell incorporates an automatic air purging chamber with a see- through inspection cover. A pressure gauge, sampling cock, isolating valves and a flow switch complete the installation.
